Neues EU-Erasmus+ Sport Projekt beim TCB
Der TCB ist im Zeitraum Dezember 2025 - Dezember 2027 bereits zum dritten Mal Teil eines von der EU geförderten Projekts im Rahmen von Erasmus+ Sport. Wie auch im Projekt IMPACT geht es hierbei wieder um das Thema der mentalen Gesundheit, also die Frage welche reziprogen Auswirkungen die mentale im Spannungfeld zwischen Sport, Schule und Familie haben. In diesem Projekt liegt der Fokus vor allem auf dem Vergleich zwischen verschiedenen Schlägersportarten wie Tennis, Badminton oder Tischtennis.
Main Ideas of the Project:

RS4MH overall objective is to promote education in and through sport and enhance the quality of coaching at EU grassroots racket sports (grassroots tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis) club level. This will be achieved by elaborating, piloting, evaluating, and disseminating an innovative model tailored for European grassroots racket sports clubs and EU secondary schools. The aim is to build on the mental health awareness and understanding among 30 coaches, 30 physical education (PE) teachers and 60 parents, fostering a holistic approach to young secondary schools’ students-athletes 14-19 aged and athletes aged 16-23 mental health and well-being through racket sports. The ambition of the project partners is to provide an innovative scientific - based model applicable for grassroots sports clubs and schools including 1 digital Case Studies Collection of existing successful sport-based practices and initiatives at EU level in youth mental health through racket sports, 1 blended learning educational program Racket Sports (RS) Supporting Minds including 5 main modules for coaches and PE teachers and 1 Dual Career module for talented athletes aged 16-23, 1 suite of resources in racket sports for Mental health (MH), 1 school training activity package Racket Stars - Racket Sports Training Activities for Resilience in Schools and 7 inspiring community - based sports events applying totally innovative approach for best practices identification and collaborative learning – Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP). The main racket sports in this project include grassroots tennis, badminton, squash and table tennis. Through setting up a transnational network of 5 EU sports clubs /2 from remote communities/, one leading EU University and 2 experienced NGOs in EU sports actions and work with PE teachers and secondary schools, the project will provide for the proper mix of expertise to implement the one-of-a-kind EU grassroots racket sports for mental health model at sports club level to be applicable in secondary schools which moreover will be implemented in backwards communities as well. The new model will ultimately raise and develop coaches in racket sports and secondary physical education teachers’ mental health awareness, literacy and skillset with focus on YOUTH HEALTH through racket sports while strengthening the grassroots sports organisations’ and secondary schools’ role in prevention and protection of student and athletes against mental health issues.
